When choosing to decorate a room in a single color, ensure it’s success by sticking to a range of tones within that palette to create harmony and avoid color clashes. The easiest way to do this is to find a paint sample chart from your local hardware and select your range from that chart.
Create a coherent feel by painting ceilings, floors, doorways and skirting boards in the color of your choice. You can also include the color in your furniture with the right paint and fabrics. Break up the tonal scheme by adding a single large item in a neutral color that compliments it; like the large mid grey sofa in this green living room!
