An active young family with three kids in Colorado create a home that is lively, fun and accented in a turquoise color scheme throughout. The combination of Interior designer Jodi Feinhor-Dennis of Boulder-based Nesting Home Design and Keira Ritter Design Company helped this family achieve their fun, cheerful and modern interior design aesthetic.
Contemporary Living Room in Turquoise and White
Firstly, the home opens to a stunning contemporary living room with a turquoise and white interior. Turquoise blue walls painted in Benjamin Moore’s Pacific Ocean Blue 2055-20 contrast well with the pure white trim and two white leather armchairs (the white dog fits the blue and white color scheme perfectly too!). White with blue print Roman shades decorate the many vertical windows that allow light to flood the room.
Dark hardwood floors with a neutral wool rug atop. Contemporary metal side table and industrial style multiple bare bulbs hang from the ceiling.
Functional Kitchen in Blue, White and Lime
A functional and modern kitchen with cabinets in white and blue is designed perfectly to meet the large family’s needs. The walls are painted in a mint green and the benchtop in the kitchen island is the same color as the blonde timber floorboards.
Four glass pendant light hang above the kitchen island with the kitchen interior is well illuminated with various down lights. The kitchen is designed in such a way as to accommodate everything in it’s right place.
Quirky Breakfast Nook in Mint and Turquoise
The breakfast nook brings in elements from the living room with a feature wall painted in turquoise using Benjamin Moore Pacific Ocean Blue 2055-20 and elements from the kitchen with the other wall in mint green. Furthermore the industrial styled hanging lights are seen throughout the home tying design elements together.

Cool Contemporary Living Room in Turquoise and Green
Finally a formal living room has the walls pained in once more in Pacific Ocean Blue by Benjamin Moore, however the green comes into this room in the form of a bright vivid emerald green in the velvet sofa from Ikea. A maximmalist style is achieved with plenty of well organised clutter for your eyes to dwell on. We love the hanging white Christmas lights on the ceiling.
