Benjamin Moore Hawthorne Yellow (#HC-4) Yellow works well in rooms and hallways that are exposed to little natural light because it brings in an element of sun. This yellow, neither too lemony nor too golden, is just the right balance of tranquil and turbocharged. This historical color is reflective of traditional architecture, but also works beautifully in modern homes. The slight gray undertone makes it usable in any room.

I just painted my dining room walls with Hawthorne Yellow. The color in these published examples is how the paint looks in the can. On the wall however is a different story. Or color.
The dried paint is far darker. I painted one coat over white primer and I ended up with Yellow Ochre. Not exactly the softer yellow I was seeking that is depicted here.
