Blush on Blush Tones Interior.
I absolutely adore a living room adorned in layers of soft pink and blush tones. It creates an ambiance that is both soothing and captivating, making me feel like I’m enveloped by a gentle, comforting hug every time I step foot into the room.
One of the major benefits of this color palette is the sense of tranquility it brings. The soft pink hues gently wash over the room, creating a serene and calming atmosphere. It’s as if the space itself exhales a sigh of relaxation.
Peachy blush-on-blush tones and curvaceous lines coalesce to exquisite effect in the Ashfield study, setting an elegant, ethereal, ultra-feminine scene enhanced by brilliant gold touches. Chief among all that glitters in this space is a Jean Paul Mangin wall sculpture with a gleaming finish and absorbing, molten form – perfectly equipoised with the nearby table lamp’s shapely, twisting base.

Well into the late Nineteenth Century, pink was considered a masculine color and a marking of male virility…clearly notions I was channeling when I created this dressing room for Dan and me a number of years back in the first home we built together in East Hampton.
As a designer, I’m partial to tones of pale blush, warm mauve and chalky calamine particularly in joinery and millwork because these colors add warmth without eating shadow-lines or obscuring profiles. I usually introduce a bit of black with pink to make a space thoughtfully brooding but not too serious…
